With a white fireplace surround you need something to stand for both accent the marble and wood. White carrera a little more mundane and “average” looking. White /wback ribs will stand out and pronounce things, but even easier to resolve /wyour furniture, wall colors, etc. Will be a cream or off-white (lol sry my opinion) to make the fireplace stand out more. My favorite is a black marble or pure black granite to really make it stand out. GL
