Probably Italy. Each piece is carved in the form of an eagle with one outstretched wing perched on a rockwork base. The eagles feature glass eyes and the surface of the marble has been shaded grey along the wings/body and brown along the rocks. The bases are not signed/marked. Dimensions: Each: 8" High, 7-1/2" Wide, 4" Deep. Total Weight: 12.6lbs. Condition: There is some scratching/rubbing/wear to the surface and edges of the marble on each figure with several surface chips along the edges/tips of each wing (measuring up to 1" long). There is some shelf-wear (surface scratching) to the underside of each base. Otherwise, the pieces are in fair/good condition. I am unsure of whether this is a horse or a donkey. It has features that could allow it to pass for either. What I do know is it is a heavy little carved marble figure and it looks really cool. Makes a great display item, for cabbing/faceting or use for crystal healing/Reiki purposes. You get this specimen, just as you see in the photo, no substitutions.
